We are staying in Kathmandu and Pokhara on a star-level hotel, or standard hotel depends on traveler choice. During trekking at a lower altitude region where we find the community lodge, homestay, and tea house where we can enjoy local cousins(foods). We are taking a tent for 3 to 4 days while we are going to Damodar Kunda from Yara. The warm hospitality provided by the local people touches the heart of every visitor. Damodar Kunda is in the Annapurna region of the Upper Mustang area. Visitors need a special permit of the Upper mustang and Annapurna conservation area permits. To make this permit a minimum of two people and compulsory to join the local company to make the permit. The cost of the Upper Mustang permit is 500 USD for ten days and extra per day 50 USD. Annapurna conservation area permit costs Rs 200 for SAARC nationality and other nationalities; the cost is Rs 3000.

The best time to visit Damodar Kunda lake is the full moon in an august month. On that day, there is the big festival of Hindus and Buddhists, so many devotees visit there. For average, travelers can tour the end of April to September because, in the wintertime, the lake was frozen.
