Among many temples, Pashupatinath is the temple that all the Hindus have to visit once in their life at any cost. The word Pashupati is made of two worlds i.e., “Pashu” means all animals in the present in the universe, and “Pati” means god so lord Shiva is known as a god of god. Pashupatinath temple is situated on the bank of the Bagmati River near about km northeast of Kathmandu in Kathmandu valley. This temple is dedicated to lord shiva, who is the legend of Hindu religions. This temple was built in the 5th century and later retrofitted by Malla’s king of Nepal. Once the view of ‘ shiva linga ‘ of Pashupati removes all the sins and sorrows from the life of pilgrims and rest in peace in heaven after death, according to Hindu mythology, proper worship of the lord take away the pilgrims from birth and death cycle.
This temple is the cultural heritage of Nepal and listed on UNESCO Heritage also. The large idol of the bull Nandi which is the transportation of lord shiva is major attractions also. Thousands of pilgrims visit this place every day, but at the time of the special festival “Maha Shivaratri,” it is so crowded by devotees so there is no place to stand properly. Manakamana temple is another famous Hindu pilgrim’s holy place, where the traveler has an adventurous journey from the cable car. The temple is situated in the Gorkha district, which has great glory for Hindu pilgrims. The word Manakamana is made up of two words, “MAN,” which means soul (heart) and “Kamana,” that refers to the fulfillment of demands or wishes.According to ancient mythology, once the visit to the temple fulfills the dreams they desire. This is the temple of Hindu powerful goddess Bhagawati.
The history of this temple is related to the unification of Nepal. The king of Gorkha saw the dream of the unification of many small countries in his nations, and he worshiped the goddess the next morning. Due to the power of the goddess, the king of Gorkha was able to unify the small kingdom and made the country more exceptional and named it ‘Nepal ‘ in 17 century. From this incident, all people believed in the existence of the power of the goddess. Muktinath is also the favorite holy place of both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. This is a Vishnu temple located at the foot of the Thorong La mountains pass in mustang valley in the Mustang district of Nepal.It is the world’s highest temple at the altitude of 3800m from sea level.The name “Mukti” means receiving the place which is free from the cycle of birth and death, which is the home of Lord Vishnu, who is the preserver of the whole universe.
People will get relief from their sins, sorrows, and miseries after visiting this place. All the Hindus believed that lord Vishnu stays in Muktinath temple in the form of Salagrama-shilas, which means stone due to the curse of Brinda’s curse. Pilgrims can visit this place throughout the year, but especially in the time of festivals like Bijay Dashami, Ram Navami, Rashitarpani etc.This temple is in pagoda style, which is a religious link between Hindu and Buddhists. Buddhists say it Chumig Gyatsa.This area is famous for Mukti Kunda,Mukti Dhara, Jwala Mai temple, Mharme lha- Khang Gompa, Swaminarayan, Shaligram through the religious point of view. Day 1: Arrival of the international airport, our representative picks up from the airport and take you to the hotel. If we have time, we are heading to Pashupatinath for Arati puja. Overnight at Guest hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, our representative picks up from the hotel then heading to sightseeing. Today we are visiting Kathmandu durbar squire, Swayambhunath stupa, and last Pashupatinath temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara on the way we are visiting Manakamana Temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Adventurous drive from Pokhara to Jomsom on the way we see the natural landscape and Himilaya range of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Overnight at guest house.
Day 5: After breakfast at the guest house, we are heading to Muktinath and drive back to Tatopani. In the evening, we have a natural hot spring shower. Overnight at guest house.
Day 6: Drive from Tatopani to Pokhara and Sightseeing Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: After breakfast at the hotel, we are heading to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Final Departure.
